THE FIRST SEMINAR IN THE FIELD OF SAFETY AT WORK HELD IN BANJA LUCA

PRVO SAVJETOVANJE U OBLASTI ZAŠTITE NA RADU U BANJA LUCI 2022

On 18th of November in Banja Luka, in the Hotel Jelena, our first professional seminar in the field of Occupational health and safety was held and the topic was “Obligations and responsibilities of employers, managers, occupational health and safety experts and employees when establishing and constantly improving the state of OHS in the organization”.

The aim of this seminar was to make joint effort with the participants to improve competence, awareness, and leadership of all stakeholders in the occupational health and safety system.

The interaction with the participants and their active role on the seminar is a sign of successful endeavor, but also of the necessity of uniting and strengthening the OHS community in raising global OHS to a higher level.

The seminar was attended by a total of 110 participants and 5 speakers – experts in the field of OHS from Tehpro company.

The high attendance and interest of the participants gave us an even greater motivation for engage in further special forms of educations that we can organize in the Srpska Republic in 2023.

We are organizing our first expert consultation, on the current problems of OHS in the Republic of Srpska, on the subject of:
Good practice of establishing and continuous improving the state of OHS in the company

We chose this topic because practice shows that the state of OHS in companies decisively depends on the coordinated engagement of all managers and OHS experts. We want to contribute to the improvement of competence, awareness, and leadership of all subjects in the occupational health and safety system. The main questions for discussion are:

• compliance of the OHS system in the RS with the requirements of ILO and EU and the vision of further normative regulation,
• the position of the employer as one that is exclusively responsible for OHS,
• the role of OHS workers and OHS institutions in the OHS system,
• promotion and improvement of the concept of risk assessment,
• training in the field of OHS,
• key role of managers by levels,
• employee’s involvement,
• making safety leaders at work, etc.

Counseling is intended for everyone who deals with OHS issues, especially OHS workers, persons responsible for inspections and tests of work equipment and working environment conditions, other managers in company, representatives of unions and OHS committees, managers at construction sites, etc.

PREPARATORY COURSE FOR THE EXAM IN OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

TEHPRO Banja Luka, as part of the company for services in the field of protection TEHPRO doo from Belgrade, has recently been operating in the territory of the Srpska Republic.

Since 2006, our Education Center has been implementing courses for taking a professional exam in the field of occupational safety and health in the Republic of Serbia. So far, we have organized 110 groups and a large number of individual trainings. After our courses, over 3,600 participants passed the professional exam.
