Safety at work (OHS), as an absolute right based on work, is directly related to other rights, regulated by labor laws, health care, pension and health insurance, criminal code, and other laws. This is especially characteristic when we talk about specific forms of work engagement and protection of vulnerable categories of employees: workers in temporary and occasional jobs, workers engaged through agencies and youth collective, foreign workers, young people, students, persons with disabilities, elderly people, maternity protection, etc.

OHS practice shows that it is of utmost importance to understand all legal requirements and direct cooperation of OHS experts with legal and human resources in the organization.

Therefore, we invite you to join us at a seminar where we are going to discuss normative-legal and practical aspects of regulating the work status and prevention of health and safety at work of those special categories of employees.

Why this topic? Because it is extremely important, and there are several specific problems and dilemmas in practice that can arise. This area is a frequent subject of supervision by labor inspection, administrative and court disputes.

In the past year, our company has achieved remarkable results and great success.

The Workplace Risk Assessment Act is a document that every company should have in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Srpska. This act is of utmost importance because it allows the identification of potential hazards, harms and risks that employees may face in the workplace.
To avoid possible injuries, endangering health, but also problems with inspection, it is extremely important that every company ensures a quality, usable and correct Risk Assessment Act.

The act aims to protect employees from occupational injuries, illnesses, and health violations through preventive measures. In accordance with legal requirements and ensuring a safe working environment, companies are recommended to hire occupational safety experts who will conduct a risk assessment and draft the Workplace Risk Assessment Act.

For this reason, it is very important for employers to choose a reliable and professional organization that makes risk assessments for little over three decades. Professional organization license, reputation, and tradition in the field of occupational safety are key factors when choosing. It is necessary that occupational safety professionals drafting the Act have adequate knowledge and experience to be able to correctly identify risks and propose appropriate preventive measures for their control and management.

WORKSHOP/SEMINAR

The role of consultants on chemicals in ensuring safe and healthy work processes

According to the Law on Chemicals (Official Gazette of the Republic of Srpska, No. 18/21), the Law on Biocides (Official Gazette of the Republic of Srpska, No. 37/09) and the Rulebook on the Program of Additional Education for chemical advisors (Official Gazette of the Republic of Srpska, No. 69/18) we organize seminar/workshop on the topic of chemical management.

We invite you to the seminar where all “need to know” for consultants on chemicals, will be covered.

Method of realization:
Experts from “Tehpro” will present topics that are considered mandatory education for consultants on chemicals, after which concrete tools and examples of good and / or bad practice will be presented.

Aim of the seminar/workshop:
Developing awareness, responsibility and cooperation in the continous process of improving the role of consultants on chemicals in ensuring safe and healthy work processes.

Target group:
The seminar is intended for consultants on chemicals who have completed the first cycle of higher education with 180 ECTS points in the field of natural sciences, medical and health sciences, engineering and technology or agricultural sciences.

The panel is intended for all those engaged in the activities of occupational health and safety at work, especially OHS experts, and worker representatives.

Raising awareness and competence to solve key problems and dilemmas in the OHS system.

Method of realization:
After the presentations and introductory speeches of the panelists, each form their fields of expertise, an interactive discussion with the participants will be held. This discussion will be led by a moderator.

Since 2016. We are organizing this course as publicly accepted organization for adult education. So far, we have organized 110 groups and a large number of individual trainings. More than 4,000 participants passed the professional exam after taking this course.

Tehpro is the leading representative and distributor of the most well-known brands of fire and rescue equipment for the markets of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and successfully organized a several-day visit to its partners in the Czech Republic with the fire and rescue unit.

The delegation visited the Holik, THT and Tatra factories.

We were presented with complete program of our foreign partners throughout this visit and Tehpro also organized a demonstration of their latest products, with the aim of improving safety and effectiveness of firefighters. The delegation also discussed the needs of modernization of fire and rescue centers, to enable interventions and tasks to be carried out as quickly and as safely as possible.

In addition to factory visits, travel was more than successful because we also achieved cooperation with professional firefighters and visited the Fire Rescue Brigade in the city of Ostrava, which is one of the largest and the best equipped in the Czech Republic.

SAFETY AT WORK

The manual is the work of a group of authors employed at Tehpro with many years of experience in OHS in practise.

The manual is intended for all those who are in any way engaged in occupational safety, especially persons who are preparing to take the expert exams, which when passed allows working as OHS expert and tasks of responsible persons for inspecting and examining the means for work and testing the conditions of the working environment.

The authors have elaborated in a simple and concise way the complete content of the program for taking expert exams, and also gave concrete instructions on how to implement certain key obligations from numerous regulations from this field, in practice. All key international and national regulations governing this area are listed in the integral text.

We expect that this Handbook should be integral part of daily work activities for all OHS experts.

Manager roles in ensuring safety of working processes.

All employers are legally obligated to organize OHS affairs. The modern OHS system rests on understanding all the benefits of risk management. It is important for managers/leaders to be aware that their role is key in the OHS system.

We invite you to a workshop where we are going to check some of the tools for raising awareness and responsibility of managers of all levels, for the state of the organization’s OHS system.

Method of implementation:
Experts from “Tehpro” will do introductory presentations on key issues, after which we will discuss some of the tools and examples of good and/or bad practice.

Goal:
Developing awareness, responsibility and cooperation in the process of constantly improving the state of occupational safety.

Targeted audience:
The workshop is intended for all those who directly deal with health and safety issues, especially employers, OHS experts, legal entities and entrepreneurs with licenses in the OHS field, occupational medicine specialists, representatives of unions and employee representatives (boards) for OHS, managers of insurance companies, labor inspectors and others.
